On the eve of the government’s “Economy Stimulus Plan”, whereby the vast majority of tax paying families will receive a special rebate check of at least $1200 ($600 per adult, $300 per each additional child), our congregation is embarking on our own “Mission Stimulus Plan!”
With our new building mortgage in full swing (which is an additional $12,000 per month that we weren’t paying previously to January of 2008), the Mission Stimulus pledges will allow us to keep enhancing key areas of our ministry, while still making ends meet with our mortgage.
A portable building is immediately needed for our quickly expanding Tweeners program (which also frees room up for an additional Children’s DTX class), and that’s just one of many vital expansion needs.
Government rebate checks are scheduled to begin arriving this May, so let’s get our pledges decided upon soon!
