#1 - Wednesday Night DTX

Adult DTX (Discipleship Training Xperience) is this Wednesday, February 1, from 7:00-8:15 p.m. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Water's Edge Frisco. Childcare is always available. We will be studying the Gospel of John. Bring a Bible and a willing heart to see all that God has in store for us as we get to know more of who He is. Sarah Buchkosky leads Adult DTX. She has been a missionary in Eastern Europe for 10 years and is a trained Biblical teacher. She is Pastor Mark's sister-in-law and is on furlough this year. You will be blessed by Sarah's heart for Jesus as she teaches you how to go deeper into God's Word, and how you can apply it in your everyday life.

#2 -Men's Fight Club

The 2nd Thursday of every month we host Godly Man training. We call that gathering, "Fight Club." On Thursday, February 9, join us on the heated patio at Casa Rita in Frisco (3773 Preston Road). We'll eat and meet people from 6-7 p.m. and then dive into a Biblical lesson (with plenty of group discussion) from 7-8 p.m. Hope to see many of you there!

And remember, Fight Club is for men from ANY church, and ANYWHERE ELSE for that matter. Invite all the men you know to join us.

#3 - Romania Mission Trip

Please pray about being part of this life changing trip. You will impact many others with the Gospel as you love and serve the people of Romania. This year's trip will focus on maintenance and repair of a YWAM farm, running a kid's club for children in Constanta and ministering to people in a Turkish gypsy village. This experience is open to youth and adults, and is a joint trip with Water's Edge Allen and Water's Edge Frisco. The trip will be early to mid-June and will be 12 days.

An informational meeting will be held on Sunday, February 5, at 12:30 p.m., after the late service at Water's Edge Frisco. (Lunch will be provided.) We hope to see you there! Please contact Sarah Buchkosky (sarah@ywam.ro or 214-773-5573) if you have any questions or want more information.

#4 - Must Know Seminar

Our next Must Know Seminar will be held on Saturday, February 11. The 3-hour Must Know Seminar is just that—a seminar that explores the "must know" attitudes of Jesus Christ that are the foundation of the church. All those wishing to be engaged/voting disciples at Water's Edge are required to attend this seminar. It begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 1:00 p.m. (with lunch served). #5 - Ash Wednesday

Wednesday, February 22, is Ash Wednesday, and once again, Water's Edge will host a special worship service of repentance and renewal. Many people will tell you that this is one of the most powerful worship gatherings of the entire year. The imposition of ashes that takes place during the service is extremely meaningful. Make it a priority to join us at 7:00 p.m. for Ash Wednesday worship and experience things for yourself. By all means, invite friends and neighbors to gather with us as well.

Areas to Serve

God has given you unique gifts, and He has even prepared us in advance ways to use those gifts as missionaries of Jesus. Here are a few places that need your gifts right now:

Card Ministry: Sending out care cards for birthdays and special events. This is a great way to help people feel special and cared for.

Host Ministry: We are all called to be active greeters of new people each week as we continually make new relationships and live lives of invitation. However, it is great to have hosts on duty that are easy for new families to identify to help feel at home and answer any questions. Please consider serving as a host 1 out of 6 weeks throughout the year.

Care Team: We are all called to care for the people God has put in our lives. We also have a Care Team that helps the pastors and staff make visits and phone calls to people in all sorts of situations. Has God given you the gifts to care for people? This care team goes through ongoing training and support.

People from all over the world (literally) make use of our online sermons, so your work in this area directly empowers the faith journey and witness of tons of folks.
