Water’s Edge will again be sponsoring angels from Frisco Family Services (7 senior citizens) and the Nelson Center (16 children); each angel will receive three gifts. Angels are available today for adoption at the welcome table. Please be sure to put your name and email on the sign up after choosing your angel. As we quickly approach the seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, there's a special resource we'd like to strongly suggest to all parents (and grandparents) out there. An incredible children's book entitled, "Jotham's Journey," full of villains, narrow escapes, adventure, and suspense, is perfect for spending some time together each evening as a family, and also a sure way to focus all the hearts in your family on what the Christmas season is truly all about. Thanksgiving Dinner: Thanksgiving is the time to give THANKS! Waters Edge is teaming up with LINC and New Hope in North Dallas (click here for map/directions) on Thursday, November 27 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. to prepare and serve Thanksgiving dinner to anyone who doesn't have a home, doesn't have family nearby or would just like to have fellowship with a great group of people. What a wonderful way to give thanks for the many blessings we all do have. Kimberly Terry is heading up this effort and could use your help with donations. Here is a list of specifics the group could still use:
- Three (3) Hams
- Two (2) Turkeys
- Large cans of Green Beans
- Large cans of Corn
- Dinner rolls
- Bread cubes for dressing

Children’s DTX Craft Prep: As you hear us consistently say, it takes a lot of faithful volunteers to make our Children's weekend DTX programs successful. One key area of help is the monthly prep of the classroom lesson hands-on projects. The next gathering devoted to preparing these projects will be on Tuesday, November 18, from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Childcare is provided for the younger ones, so be encouraged to come out and pitch in! Join us on Saturday, December 6, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Frisco City Hall for Merry Main Street, a perfect way to kickoff the Christmas Season. We will be hosting a free craft booth and would love for you to be a part of it. Plan on taking the whole family and carve out a time slot, so you can help supervise an hour shift helping kids make their crafts and enjoy great fellowship with their parents while they wait. Prayer Team Meet & Greet
Please join our prayer team for a Meet and Greet on Sunday, November 23, at 10:15 a.m. in the 4-5 year old children’s DTX room. The purpose of this gathering is to support, encourage and thank those who have so graciously committed to pray for Water’s Edge in the past, as well as encourage others to join us. We will have a general prayer for the team and will address any personal prayer requests as needed and will pray for the services of the day.

All we ask is that you commit to pray for whatever intercession is asked of us. Adult DTX (Discipleship Training X-periences)
NEW Wednesday Night Adult DTX Course
Starting Wednesday evening, November 12, at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Patrick will be teaching a new Adult DTX Bible Course entitled, Evangeliving. The course takes its name from the combination of the Greek word ‘Evangelion’, which means ‘Good News’ and the English word ‘Living.’ In other words, the course will discuss ‘Good News Living’, and what it really means to be an active 21st century witness of our Savior Jesus Christ. The course runs four weeks, and will take a break for Thanksgiving week. Childcare is provided. Please register online here if you need childcare.

"Refuel" - Wednesday Nights
Had a difficult week, missed Sunday morning worship, or are you just needing a little pick-me-up? Join us for "Refuel" every Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:00 p.m. "Refuel" is a half-hour gathering that includes prayer, a devotion from God's Word, and the celebration of the Lord's Supper. When the tank gets a little empty, stop by and let the Word and Communion of our God refuel your journey! NOTE: Refuel WILL meet the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Ladies' Christmas Cookie Exchange
Ladies, join us for Water Edge’s 3rd Annual Christmas Cookie Exchange on Tuesday, December 9, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Bring 3 dozen cookies (bars, candy, etc. - whatever you have a good recipe for), plus a few extras. While at the party we’ll visit, sample the “extras”, and have a great time!! Then when you leave, take a mix of 3 dozen goodies home for your family and friends. Mission Stimulus Challenge
We were blessed to have 40 families pledge a portion of their government stimulus check for the support of mission and ministry endeavors in our midst. Praise God for the spirit of generosity He continues to cultivate in our midst— generous living flows from the generous love of our saving God!

Tweeners DTX: Our desire is for your Tweeners to have engaging, fun, and meaningful opportunities to grow in their relationship with Jesus as well as in their relationships with one another. Tweener DTX meets every Sunday Morning at the 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services midway through worship. We have a talented and committed group of teachers who make faith in Jesus come alive each week. They also meet monthly for a fun outing.

Children’s DTX (Age 2 - 2nd grade)
Children’s DTX is for children age two through second grade. They meet together each week mid-way through worship service for exciting and fun age appropriate lessons and crafts.
Be watching for the coloring pages that your child brings home from Children’s DTX each weekend. On the back of the sheet are follow up activities, questions and Bible verses to help you discuss the theme/story that your child talked about in DTX. If you missed out, a copy can be picked up in the Children’s DTX rooms.
Precious Preschoolers /Playgroup (ages 2-5): Precious Preschoolers is a gathering for Moms or Dads and their preschoolers that meet at 10:30am the 2nd Wednesday of every month. On the 4th Wednesday, join them for a playgroup type outing.

Baby Clothes Ministry
Do your child’s outgrown clothes need a new home? Please feel free to donate any of your infant or toddler's gently used clothes to our local women's shelter, Hope’s Door. We will have a box in the church nursery each week. Please make sure the clothes are washed and folded neatly in bags. Please no hangers and make sure the sizes are easily visible. Toy Box Ministry
The mission of this ministry is to collect new toys throughout the year and distribute those toys as gifts to needy children, sharing a message of hope in Jesus Christ to both the children and their families.
