Water's Edge Online Communication: Email is a prime way to get all the information that you might need regarding all the great opportunities for fun and faith growth at Water's Edge. We communicate with our Tweeners (grades 3-5), Junior High (grades 6-8) and Senior High (grades 9-12) through separate email lists. If you have a student in one of these groups and have not been receiving these email updates, please give us your email address so we can include you. SENIOR HIGH DTX (Discipleship Training X-perience)
Life is crazy busy and we can all get worn out pretty easily. We could all use special times where we come together and let the Holy Sprit refuel us through God's life changing Word so we may be all that He created us to be. That is exactly what Senior High DTX is here for. We meet on the first and third Wednesday evenings of each month at church at 7:00 p.m. We invite you to carve out an hour on a Wednesday night and join us to be refueled by Jesus and each other. Feb 12: SpokeFolk Mission Trip Info Lunch
Join Pastor Mark and Anthony on Sunday, February 12, at church at 12:15 p.m., and we will head out to lunch where we will discuss all the details for this summer's SpokeFolk Mission Trip. All costs, fundraising and trip details will be discussed. If you would like to be part of this mission trip but can't make this lunch, please let Pastor Mark or Anthony know and contact them with any questions.
July 10-23: Michigan SpokeFolk Tour
Attention Sr High & College Students: A SpokeFolk tour is one of the most life-changing, faith-strengthening, leadership-developing, impact-making and FUN things you will ever do! Meet 30 other students and counselors and travel on bicycles from town to town, stopping each night to share a Christian concert along with testimonies and skits. Make real and lasting friendships. Be challenged, built up and encouraged; make a difference in the lives of people you meet. JUNIOR HIGH DTX (Discipleship Training X-perience):
All 6th-8th graders please join us for some fun faith fueling time with Pastor Mark. We usually meet for DTX at church from 6:45-8:15 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. We also have a jr high DTX option that includes weekly assignments and parent/mentor discussions and this has been a hugely effective tool to strengthen the faith walk of all our students and their families. February 18: Shoes for Orphan Souls Service Project
Help us as we sort and pack donated shoes to be shipped across the world. We will carpool from Water's Edge – leaving at 12:00 p.m. (eat before you come) and returning by 4:30 p.m. Drivers are needed – please let Angie know if you are available (972-782-4192).
March 2-4: Junior High Youth Quake
Spend the weekend with hundreds of youth at the DFW Airport Marriott, from March 2nd-4th. Meet at church on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and return by 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. This is a perfect time to make new friends and have your faith challenged all while having a great time. Jam out with the bands and learn from some awesome speakers. Cost is $160; you will also need $$ for five fast food meals. You may pay ONLINE, pay Pastor Mark or Angie Roberts in person, or mail a check to Water's Edge Frisco (PO Box 894, Frisco, Texas 75034). June 23-30: Jr High Mission Trip
Our Jr High students are heading to Birmingham, Alabama, with YouthWorks from June 23rd-30th. Join 70 other youth from across the country and help make a difference in an area hit by poverty as we paint and repair houses and help this community in any way we can. Grace Lutheran Church in Denison, TX, and Faith Lutheran Church in Gainesville, TX, are also joining us on this trip. This is an amazing trip that can change the way you look at life as well as touching the lives of many in Alabama. Make plans now to be part of it. This trip costs $325. A deposit of $150 is DUE BY SUNDAY MARCH 25 and the remaining $180 balance is due by Sunday, May 20th. Travel, lodging, supplies and food in Alabama are covered by the registration cost. Eight meals while traveling are not included. Reserve your spot today by paying your deposit online or get a check to Pastor Mark. Tweeners at Weekend Worship: Our desire is for your Tweeners to have engaging, fun, and meaningful opportunities to grow in their relationship with Jesus as well as in their relationships with one another. Tweener DTX (Discipleship Training X-perience) meets every Sunday Morning at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. during worship. We have a talented and committed group of teachers who make faith in Jesus come alive each week. They also meet monthly for a fun outing.

Attention Moms! Do you worry about your children? Come experience how you can replace your anxiety and fear with peace and hope by praying with other moms. Moms In Touch International gathers moms together to pray specifically and scripturally for our children and schools. Won’t you join with us in prayer for this next generation?
