HopeChest exists to ignite hope by empowering vulnerable children and their families to break the cycle of poverty and build thriving, sustainable communities—starting with the children.
This partnership focuses on long-term community transformation, providing support for education, nutrition, medical care, and spiritual development. At the heart of Children’s HopeChest’s work is the Community-to-Community and Friendship model, which connects churches like ours with children and families through meaningful, Christ-centered relationships.

Match Day 2026- La Cuchilla
After you sign up to become a Friend Partner, your picture will be sent to our CarePoint in La Cuchilla, Guatemala. A small team from Water’s Edge will travel to the CarePoint to witness a powerful and meaningful moment—the children will choose YOU as their Friend Partner. This special Match Day takes place on March 21.
You wont want to miss our Reveal Day on April 12th, as we celebrate the reveal of your new La Cuchilla friend. This begins your relationship with a child through prayer, encouragement, and letter writing.
Additional opportunities include giving toward community development projects and joining mission teams that visit La Cuchilla to witness the impact firsthand.
